RAPID CITY - Top tennis teams from around the state traveled to Rapid City for duals on Friday.

Rapid City Stevens started out the day on a high note indoors at Arrowhead Country Club by blanking the Lady Govs of Pierre 9-0.

"Our kids played well against Pierre, they're a good young team. It was tough waiting around all morning to play, but we came out and got the job done." said Stevens Head Coach Jason Olson.

After their 9-0 win indoors the Raiders then moved back outside to Sioux Park to take on top-ranked Sioux Falls O'Gorman.

O'Gorman began with a 3-0 sweep of Stevens in the doubles matches.

"O'Gorman was really ready for us. They came out early and just trounced us.They completely dominated us and I think our team got intimidated." Olson said.

O'Gorman then cruised through all six singles matches to take the dual 9-0.

"I've ranked them at one the whole year. Our girls will get another chance against them tomorrow in the Invite." Olson said.

The Rapid City Invite began last night with doubles and continues today with both singles and doubles.
