RAPID CITY - A Wednesday adult ladies morning recreational tennis league will start Wednesday and will continue for six weeks at 7:30 a.m.-9 a.m. at Sioux Park.

The league is supported by Black Hills Tennis Association in cooperation with the City Recreation Department.

The league costs $20, with a $3 discount for BHTA members. It includes court fees, tennis balls, sublist, prizes and fun. For more information or to sign up, call 343-6386 or 343-1637.

Pumroy new athletic director at VCSUB.J. Pumroy is the new athletic director at Valley City State University.

Pumroy will be responsible for providing leadership for the VCSU athletic program and for athletic fundraising.

The position became available in March when Doug Peters, VCSU's athletic director since 2004, accepted a position with Minnesota State University-Moorhead.
