RAPID CITY - The Rapid City Stevens cross country awards were recently released.
Greater Dakota Conference champion and all-state selection Darren Messenger, a senior, was named the boys most valuable performer, while junior Annie Pfeifle received the honor on the girls side. Messenger was also a NHSACA All-American, while Pfeifle was an all-GDC and all-state selection.
Freshman Tanner Chleborad and senior Emily DeVries were named Rookie of the Year, while junior Tom Kjerengtroen and sophomore Sara Johnston were named most improved.

Thomas Helmers, Sr.-GDC scholar athlete, all-academic

Tyler Niederwerder, Sr.-All-GDC, GDC scholar athlete, all-academic.
