Volleyball roundup: Harding County takes final three sets

TIMBER LAKE - Harding County gave up the first game, but won three straight to defeat Timber Lake in volleyball action on Saturday.

The Ranchers won 19-25, 25-13, 25-14, 25-13.

Robin Bickel led the Lady Panthers with 10 kills and a pair of solo blocks. Becky Maher led the team in serving with four aces and 12 assists.

Timber Lake (5-5) travels to McLaughlin on Tuesday and Harding County (8-3) hosts Philip on Thursday.

Philip 3, Jones County 0

PHILIP - Philip just keeps on rolling.

The Scotties improved to 11-0 on the season with a sweep of Jones County during high school volleyball action Saturday. They won by the scores of 25-16, 25-19 and 25-13.

Sierra Hook had 13 kills, two blocks and three service aces for Philip. Lindsay Mann added seven kills and two blocks, and Lindsay Mann tallied six kills and three aces. Taylor Holman had 26 set assists, 11 digs and an ace and Sierra Weller notched three aces and a block.

Philip plays at Faith and Jones County (1-8) hosts Chamberlain on Tuesday.

Warner 3, Selby Area 0

SELBY - Kim Anderson and Kaye Weber combined for 26 of Warner's 41 kills in the Monarchs' sweep of Selby Area in a high school volleyball match Saturday.

Warner won by the scores of 25-12, 25-21 and 25-17.

Anderson and Weber had 13 kills apiece, and Anderson also had two blocks.

Kelli Wiedebush added 37 set assists, and Jenny Kay had 20 digs and three service aces in the win.

Ashley Schlomer led the Lions with 10 digs, seven kills and a block.

Selby Area (9-2) plays at Edmunds Central on Monday. Warner improved to 15-2 with the win.
