The Oklahoma City Blazers are coming off a perfect 2-0 week and have yet to lose a game in regulation this season going 6-0-2. They currently have a four-point lead in the Northeast Division over Bossier-Shreveport.

Oklahoma City has played in five one-goal games going 3-0-2 in those contests.

The Blazers have been doing it with a balanced attack that features five players with six or more points. Simon Lambert leads the way with 11 points, ranking second among all rookies. Another first year player, Jason Murfitt, is second on the team with eight points.

The Blazers are the top defensive team in the Central Hockey League, allowing just 14 goals in eight games. This week, the Blazers are at home for games against Texas (4-1-1) on Friday and New Mexico (3-3-1) on Saturday.

Killer Bees remain perfect: The Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees are the lone perfect team in the CHL sitting atop the Southeast Division with a 5-0-0 record. The Bees have outscored their opponents 21-9 and have taken a pair of games from their long-time rivals in Laredo. The Bucks came into the season with a 45-15-5 all-time record against the Bees.

Goaltending has been a strength for RGV with Wylie Rogers going 4-0 with a 1.57 goals against average and a .957 save percentage - best in the league. The Bees will be tested this week with a home game against Odessa (4-2-1) on Friday and a road game at the Bucks (5-3-0) on Saturday.

Clayton making big splash with Mudbugs: Veteran Travis Clayton was one of the big free agents this past summer and the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs turned out to be the lucky winner of the sweepstakes.

Clayton has been steady this season scoring four goals with five assists in six games. The 'Bugs are 5-1-0 this season, partly due to Clayton's strong play. He finished the month of October as the Three Stars Award winner, totaling seven points. Clayton played in his 700th career CHL game on Oct. 25 and he currently ranks second on the CHL's all-time games played list with 702 trailing Joe Burton by six games (708). He is also third in points (843), second in goals (330) and third in assists (513).
