MILBANK - Platte-Geddes ended Lead-Deadwood's season with a 7-6 win over the Golddiggers on Thursday at the South Dakota American Legion Class B state baseball tournament at Legion Field.

The game was played in seven innings due to weather. Thursday action was nearly called off due to storms Wednesday night that tore through the area with wind gusts up to 100 mph.

Lead-Deadwood took a 6-5 lead in the top of the seventh inning when Jordan Leveque scored on a two-out single by Ben Morris.

But the Black Panthers came back and put two runs on the board in the bottom of the inning when Hayden Kuiper and Collin Ringling came around to score on a single by Joe Millar.

Russ Hadden went the distance for Post 31, taking the loss after giving up seven earned runs and eight hits. Morris went 2-for-4 with an RBI and run scored. Jake Startz was 1-for-3 with two RBI.

Ringling led Platte-Geddes' offense with a 3-for-4 day including two runs scored and one batted in. Kyle and Joe Millar each knocked in two runs for Platte-Geddes.

Lead-Deadwood closed its season with a 26-19 record.
