Registration opens today at 8 a.m. to 11 a.m., and on Sunday from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the Nevada Gulch Base of Terry Peak. Registration must be completed before any practice runs. Helmets are required for all races, and body armor is recommended for downhill riding. Entrants under the age of 18 must have guardian signature on waiver.
An all-weekend chair pass (two day) with a bike costs $35, an all-day chair pass with a bike costs $25 and an all-day chair pass with no bike costs $15.
A single chair ride with no bike costs $5. Children 10 and under ride free with an adult pass.
The downhill race, which costs $50, includes a chair pass for the entire weekend and a complimentary entry to the cross country race. The cross country race costs only $30, and kids race free.
The trail was designed by a NORBA professional downhill mountain biker. The trail follows fall line between Kussy, Ben Hur and Holy Terror from summit to base. The course is lengthened this year to make the most of the lower section and bypass the gravel road near the bottom. Riders should expect a mix of wide open ski runs, wooded sections, roots, rocks and rolling drops. The rides are challenging to all skill levels.
