KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The top eight teams all held their spots in the second regular season NAIA Football Top 25 Coaches' Poll, the NAIA announced on Monday.

The University of Sioux Falls was voted as the No. 1 program for the fifth-straight poll, earning 444 total points and 18 of the 19 first-place votes. The Sioux Falls defense has been getting the job done, ranking first in the country in total defense and rushing defense. The Cougars are 3-0 after a 42-19 defeat of then-No. 19 Hastings (Neb.) last Saturday. Looking to extend its nation-best 17 game-winning streak, Sioux Falls travels to Concordia (Neb.) on Saturday.

Since the start of the 2008 season, Sioux Falls has surrendered just 12 touchdowns and the defense has not surrendered a 100-yard rusher during the streak of 17 games. In fact, no rusher has tipped 50 yards. Just four opponents have reached 10 or more points during this stretch, and Sioux Falls has held two opponents to negative yardage in total offense.

For the fifth straight time, Carroll (Mont.) was voted as the No. 2 team in the land after posting 427 total points and one first-place vote. Tied for the most wins in the country with four, Carroll has been listed in the poll the last 108 times, which is the second longest active streak. Standing 116-13 since 2000.

Lindenwood (Mo.), St. Francis (Ind.) and Morningside (Iowa) round out the top five. The next three teams to follow Morningside all held their spots from last week, No. 6 Cumberlands (Ky.), No. 7 MidAmerica Nazarene (Kan.) and No. 8 Langston (Okla.).

Black Hills State and South Dakota School of Mines each landed outside the top 25, but received votes in this week's poll.
