PINE RIDGE - Pine Ridge won both the boys and girls cross country races against Red Cloud and Bennett County on Tuesday.
Red Cloud's Henry Crow won the boys side with a time of 19 minutes, 5 seconds and was followed by Pine Ridge's Dallas Two Lance in 19:18 and teammate Nick Charging in 20:07.
Pine Ridge's Jessica Tall was the convincing winner on the girls side with a time of 16:50, followed by Red Cloud's Christy Sioux Bob in 17:24 and Pine Ridge's Jackie Janis in 17:35.
"It is a nice course and we even put some moguls in so the kids have to jump over the water," said Pine Ridge head coach Dale Pine. "Our kids ran as a pack and improved over last week."
Pine Ridge is breaking in a whole new team with the exception of Tall.
Pine Ridge's Calandra Wanatee was the junior varsity winner for the girls in 18:58 and Pine Ridge's Trey Walking led the boys in 22:08.
