Little Wound High School will host the Shaun Herrod Men's Basketball Tournament next month.
The tournament, which is sponsored by Oglala Lakota College, is scheduled for June 5 through June 7.
The tournament is a fundraiser for Herrod, who was one semester away from completing his civil engineering degree at the South Dakota School of Mines when he was the victim of a car accident. As a result of the accident, Herrod was left with massive head trauma.
There is a $150 entry fee with all proceeds going to Herrod's family. The tournament will be a 16-team double elimination tournament with $1,000 and jackets being awarded to first place. There will be all-tournament and MVP T-shirts awarded.
