RAPID CITY - Rapid City Central's Jasmyne King was one of four South Dakota athletes to be named to the National High School Athletic Coaches Association all-American team.

King won four gold medals in the 100-, 200-, 400-meter and long jump at the Class AA state track and field for the second straight season. Only a sophomore, she holds the state records in all four events.

King joined Watertown senior Leslie Brost, Pierre junior Matt Tetzlaff and Sioux Falls Christian senior Colin Koth as all-Americans.

Brost holds the state record in the pole vault and Tetzlaff in the 110-meter hurdles. Brost won the Class AA girls pole vault and took second in the triple jump, Tetzlaff won the 110- and 300-meter hurdles and Koth won the Class A 100-, 200- and 400-meter dashes. Tetzlaff and Koth helped their teams to Class AA and Class A boys' titles this season, respectively.

Gregory's Alexa Duling and Watertown's Aaron Jung were both named as honorable mention selections. Duling was named the Class A most outstanding female athlete after winning the 100- and 200-meter dashes and the 100- and 300-meter hurdles. Jung won the Class AA boys' discus and shot put titles.

Scotland head coach Gary Pepper was named the NHSACA "Coaches Winner's Circle" Coach of the Year.
