The Rapid City Rush signed defenseman Jason Goulet on Friday.

Goulet, a 6-4, 245-pound enforcer from Winnipeg, Ontario, Canada, played eight games to start the 2008-09 season with the Basingstoke Bison of the England-based Elite Ice Hockey League.

From 2006-2008, Goulet skated for four East Coast Hockey League teams, Pensacola, Cincinnati, Dayton and Bakersfield, tallying a combined four goals, 12 assists and 329 penalty minutes over that span.

Prior to that, Goulet tallied six goals, 12 assists and 382 penalty minutes in two seasons for the Oklahoma City Blazers of the CHL.

Goulet also played for the Bridgeport Sound Tigers of the American Hockey League in 2006.

Goulet started his professional career in 2003-04 with the Fresno Falcons of the ECHL, and spent the following season with the Kalamazoo Wings of the UHL.
