Andy Sanano, Grand Master Instructor of the Sanano Karate Club of Rapid City, was elected to the World Karate Union Hall Of Fame Board Member during the organization's WKU Hall of Fame Awards in Pocono Manor, Pa., on June 28.

Grand Master Sanano was inducted into the WKU Hall of Fame in 2008. Being elected as a board member is a great honor that demonstrates his commitment to the philosophies and teaching of martial arts.

An additional honor given to Sanano was his selection as a member of the Board of Directors of Kido Ryu International in Brooklyn, N.Y. He was distinguished for his superior leadership abilities and his continuing efforts in the education in the martial arts.
