Rushmore Soccer Club starts season Monday
RAPID CITY - There will be no sleeping in for the soccer players for Rushmore Soccer Club. RSC will kick off its summer season Monday.
It has become a tradition for RSC to invite college coaches from across the United States to train the players for one week. In its fifth season, RSC welcomes back eight coaches from 2007 and a new coach.
RSC began the "college coaches week" five years ago to allow RSC players to learn from coaches from a collegiate level. This gives an opportunity for the younger players to learn and understand the expectations as they get older.
Juniors and seniors will communicate with the coaches to talk about soccer after high school. The college coaches will be here from Monday through June 5 and begin as early as 7 a.m. Training sessions will be at the Sioux Park Soccer Complex.
