RAPID CITY - The Golf Club at Red Rock in Rapid City has been honored by the South Dakota Junior Golf Foundation for its efforts in promoting junior golf.

The junior golf program under the direction of Jason Young, PGA professional at the Golf Club at Red Rock, has been named winner of the Amundson Family Best Club Junior Golf Program for 2007. The award is sponsored by Dr. Loren and Mavis Amundson of Sioux Falls and their family.

The endowment provides an annual award to the South Dakota Golf Association member club that conducts the most successful Junior Golf program each year, including but not limited to golf instruction for juniors, junior golf projects and programs which bring honor to the game of golf.

Registration open for Post 164 baseball

SPEARFISH - Spearfish Post 164 for will a registration meeting for varsity and junior varsity baseball players on March 5.

The meeting will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Spearfish High School Commons.
