WINNER - Rapid City Post 320 continued its offensive onslaught at the plate Sunday with a doubleheader drubbing of Winner 21-0 and 12-5.

The Stars pounded out 15 hits - five for extra bases - in the opener led by Nate Jacobson, who had a pair of hits including a grand slam that helped him rack up six RBI in the game. Jacobson, Brent Winkelman, Jared Jacobson, Reed Rice, Tommy Barbour and Lucas Ashland all had at least two hits for Post 320 as it scored nine runs in both the third and fourth innings to put an early end to the game.

Jared Jacobson drove in three runs in support of Adam Carroll who went two innings giving up one hit and striking out five. The one hit was the only hit Winner would muster in the game as none of the three pitchers Winner used were able to slow the Stars' offense.

Winner grabbed a 4-3 lead at the end of four innings in the second game, but the Stars responded with three runs in the fifth, two in the sixth and four in the seventh to take control of the nightcap.

Winner pounded out 13 hits in the game, but could not come up with the key ones to keep the pressure on Post 320

Carroll and Aaron Corbett each drove in a pair of runs and Sean Holloway got the win for the Stars going six innings, striking out three and walking two.

The Stars had just nine hits in the game, but Winner pitchers combined to walk 10 and hit six batters to give Post 320 plenty of chances to hit with runners in scoring position. Carroll and Kyle Lewis had the only extra base hits for the Stars in the game with each record a double.

Post 320 improved to 36-11 on the season and is back in action Thursday when it travels to Nebraska to take on Chadron.
