RAPID CITY - New Underwood toppled Rapid City Christian 25-18, 25-22, 23-25, 25-10 in high school volleyball on Monday night at the Comet gymnasium.
"I was happy with the way we played," said Christian head coach Juliana Tomek. "We have a young team and our growing better as a team every day."
Tera DeCastro led the Comets with five kills and three solo blocks. Paula Graumann added six kills.
Nikki Bluementhal was in on 50 assists while Alecia Skea contributed seven digs and Valerie Graumann 5 for Rapid City Christian.
The Tigers (7-4), were led by Devon Smith, Kelsey Schwartz and Terry Heavlin who combined for 23 kills in the match.
Jordann Parsons served up four aces, Smith and Schwartz had two blocks each and Smith along with Alex Silvernagle added 14 and 10 digs respectively.
Kara Olson's 18 assists and Linlee Jensen's six, for New Underwood.
The Tigers will entertain Philip at home on Tuesday. The Comets, 2-7 host Philip on Tuesday.
