MURDO - Louie Krogman rewrote the all-time scoring record as White River earned a 108-45 victory over Crazy Horse in the semifinal round of the District 13B boys basketball tournament.

Krogman entered the game two points shy of tying the South Dakota all-time all-gender scoring mark. He scored 21 points in the game to break the record by 19.

The previous record was held by Mitchell Christian's Jill Young, who finished her career at Mitchell Christian in 2007 with 3,317 points.

The Tigers wasted no time establishing control of the game, leading 52-20 at halftime and 88-33 after three. White River shot 61 percent from the field (43-of-71).

Twelve players scored for White River, including six in double figures. Chase Fairbanks and Frankie Waln each scored 13 points. Jake Krogman added 12 and Carson Krogman and Jimmy Plooster scored 11 points apiece. Matthew Bartlett recorded a double-double with 10 points and 20 rebounds.

Only three players scored for Crazy Horse. Ace Amiotte paced the Chiefs with 21 points. Taylor Red Elk scored 18 and Richard Lamont added six. Crazy Horse finishes the season 9-13.

White River (18-3) and Jones County will battle for the district championship at 6 p.m. MST tonight.

The Tigers beat Jones County twice this season, 99-60 on Dec. 7 and 95-43 for the Jones County Invitational title on Jan. 12.
