RAPID CITY - The South Dakota School of Mines football program along with head coach Dan Kratzer are pleased to announce their first official signing of the 2008 season.

The Hardrockers recently signed Todd Sherman of Colome to join the Mines team this fall.

Sherman is a 6-foot-5, 220 pound offensive lineman that will solidify the Hardrocker front line and add depth at the same time.

"When we saw Todd on film and were evaluating him we thought he moved real well," Kratzer said. "He's got good feet and good hips and that is something you need on the offensive line.

Sherman was apart of the 2007 Class 9B Colome Cowboys state championship football team and finished the year with an 11-1 overall record.

"Todd also plays basketball for Colome and is a just a well rounded athlete," Kratzer said.
