RAPID CITY - The Meadowbrook Ladies Invitational will take place Thursday at Meadowbrook Golf Course with an 8 a.m. shotgun start.
The format is a four-woman scramble with a registration fee of $50 per person. The fee includes muffins/coffee, green fees, prizes, lunch and flag prizes.

Special Olympic horse show set for Saturday
RAPID CITY - The Black Hills Special Olympic Equestrian Show is Saturday at "the barn" located at 3315 South Valley Drive.
The riders will be riding for all to see with opening ceremonies at 9 a.m.
There is no cost to come and watch.

A's post a pair of BHAL victories
RAPID CITY - The A's downed the Angels 4-3 on Monday in a matchup of the two best records in the Black Hills Amateur League.
Jason Herz pitched a complete game for the A's striking out seven. Herz also got the job done with the bat going 3-for-4 in the game.
Billy Dwyer went 2-for-4 for the Angels.
On Sunday, the A's downed the Drillers 14-3.
The A's pounded out 15 hits in the game as Daryl Deneke pitched six innings for the win.
Herz had three hits and Adam Karrels had two hits including a two-run home run and four RBI in the game.
Lee Blodgett took the loss for the Drillers.
