Rapid City Central put a pair of players on the 2009 Class A all-state second team in second baseman Adam Carroll and outfielder Brad Winkelman. Rapid City Stevens was represented by designated hitter Ben Hansen.
Carroll hit .457 with 16 hits, two home runs and nine RBI this past season, while Winkelman hit .486 with 18 hits, two home runs and six RBI. Hansen hit .340 on the season with 16 hits and 14 RBI.
Stevens' Brennan Holloway was an honorable mention selection to the all-state team.
Class B state champion St. Thomas More had a two second team all-state players in shortstop Jeremy
Kudrna and outfielder Nolan Johnson. Kudrna hit .652 for More with 15 hits, seven doubles and eight RBI, while Johnson hit .576 with 15 hits and 10 RBI.
Winner/Colome also had two second team selections in second baseman Sam Aeschbacher and pitcher John Farner. Aeschbacher hit .452 on the season and Farner had a 1.75 ERA.
