JAMESTOWN, N.D. - Corey Wheeler caught two of Drew Hodgs' three touchdown passes and kicked a field goal Saturday to lead Black Hills State to a 29-24 win over Jamestown College in the Dakota Athletic Conference.

Wheeler had three catches for 129 yards, including a game-winning 70-yard TD with 35 seconds left. He also kicked a 26-yard field goal for the Yellow Jackets (6-3,

4-2).

Hodgs threw for 312 yards and three scores and Tanner Ehrlich ran for 160 yards.

Josh Kittell was 27-for-47 for 341 yards for the Jimmies (6-3,

4-2). He scored on a 1-yard run and threw a 5-yard touchdown pass to Jay Tweed.

The Jimmies took an early 3-0 lead on a 30-yard field goal by Nate Nygaard, the DAC special teams player of the week last week. Jamestown's only other lead of the game came with 55 seconds remaining on the 5-yard pass from Kittell to Tweed.

That scoring pass set up the final drive for the Yellow Jackets, who scored on their very next play for the win.

The victory broke a two-game losing streak for the Yellow Jackets, who dropped consecutive games to Dickinson State and Minot State to fall out of first place in the DAC.

Hot Springs native Joe Beehler also broke the 100-yard mark receiving as he snagged eight throws from Hodgs for 106 yards.

The Yellow Jackets held a 7-3 lead at the half before the two teams combined for 43 points in the second half.

The Jimmies will host Valley City State in their season finale Saturday.

The Yellow Jackets will close their regular season Saturday in Rapid City when they take on arch-rival South Daktoa Mines.
