RAPID CITY - Custer's Jake Roddy scored two goals and assisted Travis March on Custer's final tally as the Wildcats blanked Groton 3-0 on Saturday.
Matt Kostelecky recorded nine saves as Custer out shot Groton 31-14.
"We were a little bit tired, a little bit flat, but we stepped up when we needed too," Custer coach Craig Black said. "Our defense shut them down."
Custer (5-1-1) travels to Sturgis on Tuesday.
Sturgis 2, Hot Springs 1: Hot Springs took an early 1-0 lead, but Sturgis came from behind for a 2-1 win.
Matt Landers headed in the first goal and Dave Rooks netted the second on a direct keeper as the No. 2-ranked Scoopers move to 2-5-0 overall.
Hot Springs plays Mitchell Christian on Friday.
