CUSTER - Red Cloud and Mike Twiss picked up both the team and the individual wins at the Custer Quadrangular in boys golf played at Rocky Knoll Golf Course on Thursday.

The Crusaders shot a 173 as a team with Twiss firing the low-round of the day with a 38.

"Very impressed how Red Cloud shot today," said Custer head coach Paul Kelley. "We have seen them three times so far and this is the best they have played."

The St. Thomas More Blue team finished second by two strokes with a 175. The host Custer Wildcats had a 183 and St. Thomas More White had a score of 197.

Montanna Sierra added a 41 and Colton Sierra had a 44 to help Red Cloud to the win.

Joe Drew shot a 40 for the low score on the Cavalier Blue squad.

The Wildcats' Casey Whitney added a 40 with Steven LaFluer shooting a 46 to pace the More White squad.

"It was a nice afternoon to play golf," said Kelley. "I thought Casey had a nice round for us, he struggled on his last couple of holes."

Kelley noted that Custer golfer Chad Bryant got on the course for the first time this year and that he was glad to have him out there.

"It was nice to see Chad out on the course."

"We have also seen More a lot and they have been tough all year. They have a good group of kids who can score; they will be the ones to watch come the end of the season."
