Cherry Bomb sets saddle bronc rider Jesse Bail on fire
CALDWELL, Idaho - Jesse Bail has a reputation of being one of the toughest cowboys on the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association circuit.
The Camp Crook resident routinely competes in saddle bronc riding and bull riding and has qualified for the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo five times in each of those events.
He is out of the top 15 in the Crusher Rentals PRCA World Standings in both of his events and needs some serious money to move up and make the trip to Las Vegas in December to compete at rodeo's championship event.
Bail qualified for the Ariat Playoffs first event at the Caldwell Night Rodeo in both of his disciplines. The horse he rode in saddle bronc riding failed to perform as expected, so the judges gave Bail the option of getting on another horse.
The cowboy who always rides for first place didn't hesitate to get on another one. The decision paid off as Burch Brothers' horse named Cherry Bomb took him to an 87-point ride, just two points off the arena record. It gave Bail the first round win in saddle bronc riding earned him $3,019.
